    Need help fixing your status?

This visa overstay fine calculator applies the UAE rule that took effect on 11 February 2026: a single flat fine of AED 50 for every day past your permitted date, the same on tourist, visit and residence visas. Enter your last legal day and today to see what you owe.

    How is it calculated?

The fine is the number of overstayed days multiplied by AED 50. Before 11 February 2026 the rate varied by visa type and rose after the first months; the unified flat rate replaced that, so today the sum is simply days times fifty dirhams.

The figure is set by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP), which runs UAE immigration. An exit permit fee can also apply where an overstay is long, and fines are settled before you can leave or renew status.

Worked example. If your visa expired on 1 September and you settle on 21 September, that is 20 overstayed days at AED 50, so AED 1,000, plus any exit permit fee.

    How to use this tool

The calculator does the arithmetic for you; you only need the figures for your own case. Follow these three steps and read the result as an indicative guide, then send it to us for a fixed, itemised confirmation.

    1. Find your last legal day Take the expiry date on your visa or the last day of your permitted stay.
    2. Count the overstayed days Count each day from the day after expiry up to the day you settle.
    3. Multiply by AED 50 Multiply the overstayed days by AED 50 to get the fine, then add any exit permit fee.

    Frequently asked questions

    • How much is the UAE overstay fine per day?

Since 11 February 2026 it is a flat AED 50 for each day you overstay, on tourist, visit and residence visas alike.

    • Is the overstay fine different for tourist and residence visas?

No. The February 2026 reform unified the rate, so the same AED 50 per day applies regardless of visa type.

    • Do I pay anything besides the daily fine?

On longer overstays an exit permit fee can apply. All amounts are cleared before you can exit or regularise your status.
